AI-FORWARD PRODUCT LEADER

TurningAI potentialinto useful products.

I’m Kaylee Zheng, an AI-forward product leader shaping AI and enterprise products. I connect product strategy, human insight, and experience design to turn ambitious technology into clear, trusted products for real work.

CURRENT FOCUS

Where product strategy, human judgement, and AI meet.

I work across product direction, experience design, and the systems that let teams scale. My current practice focuses on how AI can make complex work more capable—without making the experience less clear, less controllable, or less human.

  1. 01

    AI product experience

Designing useful, legible interactions around intelligent capabilities and agent-driven workflows.

  2. 02

    Product strategy

Turning an evolving technology or opportunity into a coherent product direction and set of priorities.

  3. 03

    Complex workflows

Making information-dense journeys, operations, and decisions easier to understand and act on.

  4. 04

    Design systems

Creating the structure and reusable patterns that help a product move quickly without losing coherence.

CURRENT WORK

Recent work

My recent work spans product leadership within an AI platform and independent explorations that let me test new interaction patterns, tools, and ways of working. The common thread is a belief that intelligent products need more than a capable model—they need a clear role in someone’s real work.

Enterprise Intelligence System

Building a clearer front door to enterprise intelligence.

I lead product strategy and the product and design team for an enterprise intelligence platform made up of three connected products. My work includes defining product architecture and positioning, shaping an agent-driven entry point organised around user jobs, and establishing product and digital design principles for the platform.

PRODUCT PRINCIPLES

AI changes the medium. Good product thinking still makes the difference.

I treat AI as both a product capability and a practical collaborator. The goal is not to automate thought away; it is to help teams learn faster, explore more deliberately, and spend more time on the decisions that require human judgement.

My approach is grounded in a simple belief: AI earns trust when its role is clear, its output is traceable, and its experience is designed around real work.

01

Structured

Create a clear product model before adding interface polish. Strong structure lets people understand where they are, what they can do, and what comes next.

02

Traceable

Make intelligent systems legible. People need the right context, provenance, and control to use AI-supported outputs with confidence.

03

Adaptive

Design for changing needs, roles, and levels of expertise. A good system meets people where they are without becoming inconsistent or overwhelming.

LET’S TALK PRODUCT + AI

Explore the work through the question that matters to you.

Answers are grounded in Kaylee’s public portfolio notes. For confidential work or a specific opportunity, contact Kaylee directly.

AI can now generate interfaces, write code, and turn conversations into prototypes. The question is no longer only how fast we can build, but what we should build—and where AI should act alongside human judgement.

I’m exploring product strategy, agent delegation, trust boundaries, and the decision logic that helps people and intelligent systems work well together.

If you’re thinking through how AI is changing your product, team, or workflow, I’d love to compare notes.

MY JOURNEY

From making things look good to making complex products make sense.

My career has moved from visual storytelling to product design, design systems, product strategy, and now AI. Each chapter has changed how I work—but the through-line has stayed the same: use design to create clarity, momentum, and better outcomes for people.

The roles have changed. The work remains the same: making complexity easier to understand and act on.

ABOUT

A product leader with a designer’s eye for the details.

I’m a New Zealand–based product and design leader focused on AI, enterprise platforms, and the systems behind useful digital products. I bring a background in product design, UX, design systems, and product strategy—connecting the big product questions to the smallest experience decisions.

Over 12+ years, I’ve worked with cross-functional teams across complex digital products. Today, I’m most interested in the space between AI capability and real human work: how we design products that are more intelligent while staying clear, useful, and trustworthy.
